This is Lady Baltimore. She is the "face" of the Raptor Center here in Juneau, Alaska. She is an American Bald Eagle and was shot through her beak & (other) eye. She will have to be confined for the remainder of her life (she no longer has depth perception and also has some balance issues). The Raptor Center rehabilitates many eagles every year and has an annual release ceremony when they are returned to the wild.

Lady Baltimore lives in Juneau in the summer and is part of the Mt. Robert's Tram and Nature Center. She receives many visitors here during the summer and helps raise awareness in many villages and communities here in Alaska. In the winter, she travels to Sitka (or Haynes, sorry I can't remember), Alaska to live at the Raptor Center's facilities.
