So when I'm sick, it kinda gives me a little too much time to reflect.
Maybe someone could enlighten me on how friendships work...
because evidently, the way I work it seems not-so-right.

I dunno .. maybe I'm just one of those folks that make lots of acquaintances
instead of friends.

New feature coming tomorrow I hope.

When I took Sociology may years ago one thing that was said - the more people that you know, the few friends you will have. it's like you have only a certain amount of "friendship" you have to spend some the more people you try ti be friends with, the less each gets (and you in return) or when societies were smaller and you knew fewer people the more "friends" you would have. it's based on the amount of time to devote to each that determines how many good friends you have. With modern society we are all in a rush between travel for work, time with kids and their activities, shopping etc. etc. A while back life was simpler, no phones, radio, TV etc, to distract us so we spent more time with others and friendships developed and grew stronger - or at least that's how I see it. I my self have almost no friends. I worked for 40 plus years, over 1/2 the time I had 2 or 3 jobs and went to graduate school part-time. The people I worked with mostly lived in another area. Where as my wife was at home and developed her own "circle for friends". Now that I am home full time, she mostly never around and the people I worked with I do not see.
